0Comments

The varsity boys bowling team captured the Lincoln-Way Cup title with a championship performance, finishing first overall in the team standings.

The tournament took place on Dec. 20, 2025, at the Lincoln-Way Cup tournament site.

Lincoln-Way delivered consistent scoring throughout the event to separate itself from the field and secure the team championship. The Knights maintained steady momentum across all games, limiting mistakes and capitalizing on scoring opportunities to stay in control of the standings from start to finish.

Individually, Tyler Hoger led the way with a first-place overall finish. Jake Tapella followed with a third-place result, while Jacob Rob added to the team’s success by finishing fifth. The trio’s consistency played a major role in Lincoln-Way’s ability to build and maintain its lead throughout the tournament.

In addition to the top finishers, the Knights received solid contributions throughout the lineup, as controlled frames and reliable spare shooting helped keep scores competitive in each round. The overall effort reflected the team’s preparation and focus in a tournament setting.

Up next, Lincoln-Way will compete at the IHSA Sectional on Wednesday, Jan. 22, with bowling scheduled for a time to be determined.
