Lincoln-Way Central senior Taylor Watt enters her final season as a central figure on the Knights’ back line, focused on guiding the team toward a deep postseason run.
A center-back, Watt said one of her primary goals is helping Lincoln-Way Central advance through sectionals and playoffs while continuing to elevate the team’s overall performance.
“I want to make it far in sectionals and playoffs,” Watt said. “I want to push our team and become better together.”
As one of the team’s senior leaders, Watt also hopes to support younger players adjusting to varsity competition by encouraging effort, confidence, and growth throughout the season.
“I want the younger girls to push themselves and keep improving,” she said.
During preseason, the Knights have emphasized communication, conditioning, and unity — areas Watt believes will be crucial to success once matches begin.
“We’ve been working on communication and always being there for each other,” Watt said. “We’re pushing each other in the weight room and trying to get better in every area.”
While defense is her primary responsibility, Watt’s leadership extends across the field, helping organize teammates and maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
With experience, determination, and a team-first mindset, Watt hopes to leave a lasting impact on Lincoln-Way Central’s program during her senior campaign.
