Senior diver Flynn Meyer has set a clear objective for her final season at Lincoln-Way Central: to qualify for the state meet for the third consecutive year.
“My biggest goal is definitely to make it to state for the third year,” Meyer said. “For now, it’s about consistency — making my dives smoother and easier every day.”
According to Meyer, a relaxed approach and strong team camaraderie are crucial in maintaining her focus before competitions. “Honestly, I just have fun dancing around with my teammates,” she said. “If you see me on deck, I’m probably dancing. It keeps me happy and ready to compete.”
Reflecting on her high school career, Meyer emphasizes that it is not the scores but the experiences that stand out most. “The bus rides are my favorite part,” she mentioned. “Blasting music, telling stories — those moments stick out more than any single meet.”
As a senior leader, Meyer aims to conclude her career successfully while also serving as a role model for younger divers. “I just want to make it fun for everyone,” she added.
