The Lincoln-Way Girls Gymnastics team capped its postseason run with multiple state qualifiers following strong performances at the IHSA Girls Gymnastics Sectional at Oswego High School.
The sectional took place Feb. 11 in Oswego, where Lincoln-Way competed against a deep field with individual state berths on the line. The top five finishers in each event automatically advanced to the IHSA State Finals.
Keira Osborne led the Knights with a first-place tie on vault, posting a 9.425 to secure an automatic state qualification. Her routine highlighted Lincoln-Way’s consistency throughout the postseason and stood among the top performances of the meet.
Marissa Lacny also earned a trip to state after placing fourth on uneven bars with a 9.025. The finish secured another automatic qualifier for Lincoln-Way and reflected the program’s strength across multiple events.
Lincoln-Way gymnasts also competed throughout balance beam, floor exercise and all-around competition, continuing to build momentum against some of Illinois’ strongest programs.
