0Comments

The Lincoln-Way Central girls wrestling team continued its dominant run by sweeping a pair of quad meets, extending its winning streak to nine duals and improving to 18-1 on the season.

The Knights competed Jan. 10 in quad meets at Joliet West and at Lincoln-Way, posting six total dual victories against quality competition.

At the Joliet West Quad, Lincoln-Way earned a 55-22 win over Homewood-Flossmoor, followed by a 78-6 victory against Chicago Westinghouse and a 72-12 decision over host Joliet West. Later in the day at the Lincoln-Way Quad, the Knights defeated Plano 68-9, shut out York 83-0, and closed the event with a 58-22 win over Plainfield South.

The recent surge includes nine consecutive dual meet wins and a tournament championship, building on a six-match streak that helped the program capture its second straight Team State Dual Championship earlier this season. The Knights have continued to show depth throughout the lineup, with younger wrestlers stepping into expanded roles and contributing to the team’s success.
