The Lincoln-Way girls wrestling program turned in an impressive all-around performance at the Conant Invitational, highlighted by four individual championships and a deep list of podium finishes against a strong field.
The tournament was held Saturday, Jan. 10, at Conant High School in Hoffman Estates.
Lincoln-Way crowned four champions on the day, led by Amelia Galarza at 105, Gracie Hansen at 125, Kate Bohms at 155 and Sydney Kettering at 155. Each wrestler battled through multiple rounds to secure first-place finishes, setting the tone for a productive day for the program.
The team’s depth was on full display across the remaining weight classes. Dani Schedin placed second at 125, while Toni Robertson earned a runner-up finish at 235. Kaitlyn Erdakos added a third-place showing at 135, and Rhi Barton followed with a fourth-place finish in the same weight class. Lincoln-Way also saw several wrestlers reach the podium with fifth-place performances, including Leeya Kruizenga at 100, Aubrey Barnes at 120, Avery Holeman at 155 and Paige Cronin at 170.
Beyond the results, the invitational reflected steady progress throughout the lineup, with wrestlers gaining valuable experience against tough competition and showing consistency across all divisions. The combination of individual titles and multiple top-five finishes underscored the program’s growing depth and competitive balance as the season continues.
