Lincoln-Way Cheer Team Takes Second at Snowdown Showdown

The Lincoln-Way Varsity Cheer Team earned a second-place finish at the Snowdown Showdown Invitational, delivering a strong performance against a competitive field of area programs.

The competition took place Dec. 19, 2025, at Lincoln-Way West High School.

The Knights showcased a polished routine marked by clean transitions, synchronized movement and strong execution throughout their performance. The team’s consistency and attention to detail helped it stand out during the invitational and secure a spot near the top of the final standings.

Lincoln-Way’s performance reflected continued growth as the season progresses, with the varsity squad building on previous competitions and demonstrating improvement in both technique and overall presentation. The second-place finish served as a positive indicator of the team’s development and ability to compete at a high level against strong opposition.

With postseason events approaching, the Snowdown Showdown provided valuable experience and momentum for the Knights. The team will look to carry the confidence gained from the invitational into upcoming competitions as it continues to refine routines and prepare for the remainder of the winter season.
