0Comments

The Lincoln-Way Central wrestling team is set to embark on the 2025–26 season with a schedule designed to challenge its athletes from beginning to end. The Knights are looking to uphold their tradition of excellence and prepare for a robust postseason in the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) series.

According to the team’s schedule, Central will begin its season at home on November 25 by hosting a quad meet featuring Neuqua Valley, St. Charles North, and Plainfield East. This will be followed by participation in the Addison Trail Invitational on November 26. December’s agenda includes early duals against Bradley, Homewood-Flossmoor, and Neuqua Valley, as well as a notable home matchup against Lincoln-Way West on December 10. The month will conclude with the Dvorak Invitational at Harlem High School and a quad meet at Brother Rice.

The new year will commence with two days of competition at North Montgomery High School from January 2 to January 3. Key conference duals against Stagg, Sandburg, and Lincoln-Way East are scheduled thereafter. Central will host the Illini Classic on January 16–17 before concluding the regular season at the Southwest Suburban Conference (SWSC) Post-Season Tournament on January 24.

The IHSA postseason is slated to start on January 31 with Regionals, followed by Sectionals on February 13–14 and culminating in the State Finals in Champaign from February 19–21. The Knights’ campaign may extend into potential Team State competition on February 27–28 and will officially close with the Winter Athletic Awards Ceremony on March 3.
