Lincoln-Way Central Wrestlers Earn Podium Finishes

Lincoln-Way Central boys wrestling competed against some of the top programs in the Midwest and earned multiple podium finishes while finishing 13th overall at a highly competitive tournament.

The Al Dvorak Invitational took place Dec. 20–21 2025 at Harlem High School, featuring strong competition from programs across the region.

The Knights delivered solid performances on one of the toughest stages in high school wrestling, showcasing depth and resilience throughout the two-day event. Aiden Hennings finished third in his weight class, Jalen Byrd placed fourth, and Justin Langford earned a sixth-place finish. The results reflected the team’s continued development and ability to compete against elite-level opposition.

Lincoln-Way Central’s wrestlers maintained composure through demanding brackets and represented the program with effort and consistency. Jalen Byrd and Aiden Hennings showed notable improvement between the two of them as the event provided valuable experience while the team continues its regular-season schedule.
