Lincoln-Way Central boys swim and dive claimed the Southwest Suburban Conference championship, using depth across events and a record-breaking relay performance to secure the team title.
The conference meet took place Feb. 7, as Lincoln-Way Central competed in SWSC championship action.
The Knights’ 400-yard freestyle relay team of Jack Mroz, Tyler Lambert, Dominic DiForti, and Souya Kubota delivered one of the meet’s defining moments by breaking both the school and pool record. The relay victory provided a major scoring boost and helped Lincoln-Way Central separate itself in the team standings.
Beyond the relay success, Lincoln-Way Central generated points throughout the lineup to maintain control of the meet. The Knights combined strong swims, consistent finishes, and contributions across multiple events in both swimming and diving to build momentum as the championship progressed. The balanced effort allowed Lincoln-Way Central to remain steady while responding to challenges from conference opponents.
The SWSC title marked a significant accomplishment for the program and reflected the team’s ability to perform in high-pressure championship settings.
