The Lincoln-Way Central boys golf team secured the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) Sectional championship with a team score of 295 at Wedgewood Golf Course. The event took place on October 6, 2025, featuring a competitive field of top teams and individual players from across the region.
According to the team’s performance details, Connor Kelch led the Knights by shooting a 71, finishing second overall and earning all-sectional honors. Brody Wall followed closely with a score of 72, also achieving all-sectional recognition. Senior Ethan Ridings contributed with a 74, while Aidan Blum completed the scoring with a steady 78. The team’s consistent play and composure under pressure proved decisive as they outpaced their competitors to claim the sectional title and advance to state.
Lincoln-Way Central is set to compete in the IHSA State Championship at The Den at Fox Creek in Bloomington beginning Friday, October 10, 2025. The Knights enter the state tournament with confidence after posting their lowest team score of the season.
The Knights had qualified for sectionals last season but did not advance further, making this year’s victory one of the program’s most significant achievements in recent years.
