The Lincoln-Way Central boys basketball team is preparing for the 2025–26 season with the goal of building on recent momentum and competing among the SouthWest Suburban’s most challenging programs.
According to team sources, with a strong returning core and renewed confidence, the Knights aim to blend disciplined defense with balanced scoring to make their mark this winter. The season begins on November 24 with tournament play, providing Central valuable early tests before hosting Homewood-Flossmoor on December 5 in its home opener. The Knights will then face a challenging conference stretch, playing against Lockport, Andrew, and Lincoln-Way East in consecutive games before a key December 19 rivalry matchup against Lincoln-Way West.
Following the holiday tournaments, Central’s January schedule includes pivotal road trips to Sandburg, Bradley-Bourbonnais, and Stagg. These will be followed by late-season battles against Lockport, Homewood-Flossmoor, and Lincoln-Way East. Each contest will influence the Knights’ postseason seeding.
With experienced leadership and a competitive roster, Lincoln-Way Central appears poised to remain in contention for the SouthWest Suburban title. If the Knights can maintain their defensive intensity and capitalize on home-court opportunities, they are expected to be a formidable team throughout the 2025–26 campaign.
