Lincoln-Way Central emerged victorious over Andrew with a 28-21 win in a nonconference football game held in Tinley Park.
The game, which took place on October 10 at Victor J. Andrew High School, saw the Knights overcoming an early deficit to secure a hard-fought road victory. Andrew opened the scoring in the first quarter and maintained a 7-0 lead before Lincoln-Way Central responded with two touchdowns in the second quarter, tying the game at halftime, 14-14. The Knights continued their momentum after the break, adding scores in both the third and fourth quarters while preventing the Thunderbolts from scoring in the final frame. Strong defense and effective execution in the second half were key factors in Lincoln-Way Central’s comeback, highlighting an impressive team effort on both sides of the ball.
Looking ahead, Lincoln-Way Central is set to travel to face Waubonsie Valley next Friday at 7 p.m., aiming to maintain their winning momentum into another significant matchup.
