Lincoln-Way Central opens Competitive Cheer season at Home on Oct. 27

Lincoln-Way Central has initiated its 2025–26 competitive cheer season with Opening Day activities held at home. This event marks the official commencement of a schedule that includes a combination of invitationals, conference competitions, and postseason events.

According to the Athletic Department at Lincoln-Way Central, the season began on October 27, 2025, within their facilities. The Knights are set to continue their preparations with team photos scheduled for November 15 before transitioning into full competition mode in December.

The team is slated to travel to Libertyville on December 6, compete at Lincoln-Way West on December 19, and participate in the Joliet West Invite on December 21. January will see them in three consecutive road meets at Dundee-Crown, Buffalo Grove, and Oak Forest. The Knights will then vie for the Southwest Suburban Conference (SWSC) title at Lincoln-Way West on January 23.

Upcoming events include an invitational at Libertyville High School on Saturday, December 6 at 8 a.m., followed by the Lincoln-Way West Invitational on Friday, December 19 at 6 p.m. The Knights will return to competition two days later at Joliet West on December 21 at 8 a.m.

The most recent event was Opening Day on October 27, which served as the program’s first official team showcase without any scoring results reported.
