The Lincoln-Way Central Knights defeated the Montini Catholic Broncos 2–0 in a varsity non-conference boys volleyball match.
The match took place at Lincoln-Way Central High School, where the Knights delivered a commanding performance, controlling both sets from start to finish.
Lincoln-Way Central dominated the opening set 25–9 with strong serving and efficient offensive execution. They followed up with a 25–18 win in the second set, maintaining pressure at the net and limiting Montini Catholic’s scoring opportunities. The Knights showcased balanced play, combining solid defense with consistent attacking to secure the straight-set victory.
The Knights’ next match will be on Thursday, April 2, at 5:30 p.m., when they will host Joliet West for another non-conference matchup, according to MaxPreps. In a previous competition, Lincoln-Way Central also hosted the Joliet West Tigers in a non-conference match on April 3, 2025. The Knights took advantage of their field and defeated Joliet West by a score of 2-0.
Lincoln-Way Central High School serves grades 9 to 12 and had an enrollment of 1,968 students during the 2019-2020 school year. It is located in New Lenox and Will County. Of these students, grade 11 had the highest concentration with 23.5 percent enrolled; grade distributions were as follows: grade 12 (23.2 percent), grade 10 (23.1 percent), and grade 9 (21.4 percent), according to the Illinois Report Card.
Lincoln-Way Central High School’s student body was composed of 85.6 percent white students, 1.6 percent black students, 9.5 percent Hispanic students, and 1.6 percent Asian students during the same period.
