Lincoln-Way Central’s girls varsity volleyball team secured a decisive victory over Plainfield East on Saturday at the Great Lakes Center, winning the match in straight sets, 25-15, 25-16.
According to Coach Bernhard, the victory improves the Knights’ record to 1-2 for the season as they prepare for their next matchup against Plainfield North on Saturday, August 30. Bernhard praised the team’s sharp serving and strong net play as key elements in the win.
The Knights set an early pace in the first set, executing precise attacks and maintaining solid defensive coverage. The second set mirrored the first, with Lincoln-Way Central controlling the match and limiting Plainfield East’s scoring opportunities.
