The Lincoln-Way Central Knights emerged victorious over the Eisenhower Cardinals with a 4-1 win in a high school varsity soccer match held on Friday.
The game took place at Dwight D. Eisenhower High School in New Lenox, Illinois, on October 24, 2025, with a kickoff at 5 p.m.
According to reports from the match, Lincoln-Way Central dominated much of the game, establishing an early lead of 2-0 by halftime. The Knights demonstrated strong passing and ball control, which led to several scoring opportunities. Although Eisenhower managed to score in the second half, Lincoln-Way Central quickly responded with two additional goals to secure their victory. The Cardinals faced challenges in containing the Knights’ offensive plays and were unable to mount a sustained comeback. Overall, Lincoln-Way Central’s offensive prowess and defensive organization proved too formidable for Eisenhower throughout the contest.
Looking ahead, Eisenhower is set to host another conference rival at home on Wednesday, October 29, at 5 p.m., while Lincoln-Way Central will travel to face their next opponent at the same time that day.
Previously, when these two teams met on October 15, 2025, Lincoln-Way Central narrowly defeated Eisenhower with a score of 1-0 in a regular-season matchup. That close game set the stage for Friday’s rematch where the Knights turned a narrow victory into a commanding win.
