The Lincoln-Way Central High School Girls Wrestling Team, led by Head Coach Josh Napier, is entering the new season with confidence, aiming to build on last year’s achievements.

According to Napier, “The athletes are ready to work to achieve that same level of excellence this year that they had last year.” With more than half of the team made up of freshmen and sophomores, the experience gained in the previous season is anticipated to provide a solid foundation for ongoing success.

The team’s objectives include competing for another dual team state title, earning an Illinois High School Association (IHSA) trophy, and securing regional and sectional titles. Napier also aspires to guide multiple athletes to the individual state tournament and onto the podium. Additionally, developing newer wrestlers and instilling high standards within the program remain priorities as the team seeks to maintain its winning culture.
