The Lincoln-Way Central girls’ tennis team has navigated a competitive 2025 season with consistent effort and strong performances across both singles and doubles matches.

According to the team’s reports, the Knights have focused on building depth and technical skill, keeping them competitive throughout the SouthWest Suburban Conference. The season began in late August and continued through the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) Girls Tennis Sectionals, held from October 17 to 18, 2025. Lincoln-Way Central aimed to qualify both individual and doubles players for the state tournament. Matches against conference rivals, including Lincoln-Way West, Sandburg, and Lincoln-Way East, challenged the Knights and highlighted their steady improvement over the season.

Central’s doubles teams have been a notable strength, securing key victories in three-set matches and demonstrating composure in tight situations. Singles competitors also showed growth by refining stroke mechanics and court awareness throughout the season.

The Knights’ roster combines experienced players with younger talent, emphasizing teamwork, preparation, and resilience. As the season concludes, Lincoln-Way Central continues to reinforce a culture of discipline and competitive drive. This positions the program as a respected presence in conference play and sets the stage for future success.
