Lincoln-Way Central Girls Basketball falls 42–36 to Joliet Catholic in WJOL Tournament

The Lincoln-Way Central Knights narrowly lost to the Joliet Catholic Hilltoppers with a score of 42–36 in a WJOL Tournament game held at Joliet Junior College on November 19, 2025.

According to reports, Lincoln-Way Central demonstrated strong defensive intensity and smart ball movement throughout the match. Both teams exchanged defensive stops and key possessions, maintaining a close contest. The Hilltoppers managed to execute effectively in the final moments to secure their lead, while the Knights’ late efforts were insufficient. Lincoln-Way Central, now holding a record of 1–1, is set to continue their participation in the WJOL Tournament on Friday, November 21, at 8:30 p.m., where they will face the Minooka Indians (2–0) at Joliet Junior College.

The last encounter between Lincoln-Way Central and Minooka took place on November 23, 2024, during the WJOL Tournament at Joliet Junior College. In that meeting, the Knights secured a victory with a score of 49–41.
