The Lincoln-Way Central girls’ basketball team is preparing for a strong return as the new season begins under the leadership of Head Coach Dave Campanile, who is now in his tenth year with the Knights.
According to Campanile, “This year’s team is looking to rebound and rebuild from last season’s results, which were somewhat below our expected standards for Knights basketball.” He added that the players are “a determined group who’ve been playing together for years both here at LWC and in their club programs.”
The team’s objectives include reclaiming past achievements by securing another SouthWest Suburban Conference title and an Illinois High School Association (IHSA) Regional Championship.
From 2021 to 2023, Lincoln-Way Central achieved three consecutive conference and regional championships, establishing a benchmark for success.
