The Lincoln-Way Central High School Cheerleading Team, under the leadership of Head Varsity Coach Danielle Emmart, is preparing for the upcoming competitive season with a renewed sense of motivation and determination.
According to Emmart, “Our team is heading into the competitive season with a renewed sense of determination and purpose. The athletes have been putting in the work, pushing through challenges, and growing stronger together every day.”
The Knights aim to build on last season’s achievements by performing their routine with confidence and consistency. They aspire to return to the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) State Championship and advance to Day 2 competition. In addition to their competitive goals, the team seeks to represent Lincoln-Way Central with pride, integrity, and positive sportsmanship.
Emmart highlighted that behind the team’s bright smiles and energetic routines lies a deep culture of dedication, trust, and perseverance. The athletes train rigorously—building strength, endurance, and composure under pressure. “What makes this team special isn’t just what they do on the mat—it’s the culture they’ve built off of it,” Emmart said. “Their passion and pride are what truly set them apart.”
