Lincoln-Way Central defeated Homewood-Flossmoor 5-0 in a nonconference girls soccer match.The match took place March 30 at Lincoln-Way Central High School.The Knights responded with a strong performance, taking control from the opening whistle and building a lead early.Lincoln-Way Central scored three goals in the first half and added two more after halftime to secure the shutout victory.Lincoln-Way Central’s midfield applied consistent pressure, forcing turnovers and creating scoring opportunities throughout the match.The Knights maintained possession and dictated the pace, limiting Homewood-Flossmoor’s ability to generate offense.Defensively, Lincoln-Way Central stayed organized and disciplined, preventing clean looks and keeping the Vikings off the scoreboard.The goalkeeper was rarely tested as the back line controlled space and cleared chances effectively.Lincoln-Way Central improved to 6-1 with the win and continued to build early-season momentum.Lincoln-Way Central returns April 16 on the road against Lincoln-Way East at 6:15 p.m.
