Knights dominate rival Warriors with 5‑2 win

A commanding performance on the road proves the Knights are a force to be reckoned with in the South West Suburban Conference. The Lincoln-Way Central Knights secured a decisive 5-2 victory over the Lincoln-Way West Warriors to strengthen their position in the conference standings.

The match took place on Tuesday, April 28, at Lincoln-Way Central High School, according to Lincoln-Way Central’s athletics webpage. 

The Knights showcased their impressive collective depth by capturing five crucial points to stifle a persistent effort from their conference rivals throughout the duration of the evening. While the Warriors managed to scrape together wins in the top two doubles positions, Lincoln-Way Central dominated the balance of the scorecard with clinical efficiency and aggressive net play. 

This victory reinforces the team’s status as a formidable contender within the South West Suburban Conference as the squad continues to sharpen their skills for the high-stakes matches ahead. By maintaining incredible focus during grueling rallies and delivering consistent serves, the Knights demonstrated the tactical discipline and mental toughness necessary to secure a major win on the road against a familiar opponent.

The Knights varsity boys tennis squad will be at the Lockport Invitational on Saturday, May 9, according to Lincoln-Way Central’s athletics calendar.
