Lincoln-Way Central boys’ volleyball team secured a decisive straight-set victory over Romeoville on Tuesday night, with scores of 25-20 and 25-14 at the Lincoln-Way Central Main Gym.
According to the team’s performance report, the Knights improved their overall record to 7-3 with this non-conference win. However, they remain without a match in Southwest Suburban Conference play. The team demonstrated control throughout both sets, emphasizing strong teamwork and offensive execution.
Leading the effort for Lincoln-Way Central were Ben Pryor and Dylan Brannigan, each contributing five kills. Cooper Riedl added three kills, complementing the team’s balanced attack. Head coach Mary Brown commended the team’s performance, describing it as a well-rounded effort that sets a positive tone for the rest of the season.
“Great day to be a Knight,” was heard across the gym following their victory. According to Brown, Lincoln-Way Central’s defense and consistency at the net proved too challenging for Romeoville, who struggled against the Knights’ pressure and energy on the court.
The Knights are now preparing for their next matchup against Joliet Catholic Academy at home. The first serve is scheduled for later this week at the LWC Main Gym, where they aim to continue building on their momentum.
