Lincoln-Way Central boys water polo rolled past Homewood-Flossmoor 19-8 in a conference matchup, using a dominant offensive performance to secure the victory.
The game took place April 14 at Homewood-Flossmoor High School, where the Knights controlled the pace from start to finish.
Lincoln-Way Central’s offense was powered by Jack Mroz, who delivered a standout performance with 10 goals and an assist, accounting for a major portion of the team’s scoring output. Tyler Lambert added three goals and four assists, while Kyle Hop contributed three goals and two assists to keep the pressure on throughout the match. Gavin Schindler helped facilitate the offense with five assists, as the Knights consistently created scoring chances and moved the ball effectively.
Additional contributions came from Souya Kubota, Dylan Ragland, and Dan Fiske, as Lincoln-Way Central showcased depth across the lineup and continued to apply pressure in each quarter. The Knights finished with 18 total goals and 24 assists, highlighting their ability to share the ball and capitalize on opportunities.
Defensively, Lincoln-Way Central remained steady, with Schindler and Zach Fritz combining for 14 saves in goal to limit Homewood-Flossmoor’s chances.
