Lincoln-Way Central’s Lisabella Dimitrijevic has been named the Illinois Gatorade Softball Player of the Year for the second consecutive season, solidifying her legacy as one of the state’s premier athletes.
According to recent reports, Dimitrijevic, a senior standout, posted an undefeated 22-0 record with a 0.43 earned run average (ERA) over 147.2 innings pitched. She tallied 318 strikeouts while allowing only 47 hits and 26 walks. At the plate, she delivered a .330 batting average, seven home runs, and 39 runs batted in (RBIs).
The award recognizes not just athletic excellence but also academic achievement and character. Over four years, Dimitrijevic has demonstrated outstanding leadership and work ethic on and off the field.
