Lincoln-Way Central swimmer Dominic DiForti delivered a strong season for the Knights, posting several impressive times across freestyle and individual medley events while contributing in multiple races throughout the year.
DiForti’s top performances came at the IHSA Boys Sectional meet at Lincoln-Way on Feb. 21. He recorded a time of 1:44.29 in the 200-yard freestyle and 4:41.82 in the 500-yard freestyle, two of the Knights’ strongest distance swims of the postseason and key performances during the championship portion of the schedule.
Throughout the season, DiForti also showed versatility in the pool. He posted a 48.17 in the 100-yard freestyle, a 54.74 in the 100-yard backstroke, and a 55.00 in the 100-yard butterfly, giving Lincoln-Way Central scoring options in several events and showing his ability to compete across different strokes.
