Head Coach Pat Shaughnessy has outlined Lincoln-Way Central’s ambitions to build on last year’s successful conference and sectional championship season, with the Knights aiming for state-level success and new school records.
“We ended up winning conference and then winning the sectional for the first time in school history,” he said.
Central recently experienced a historic breakthrough with both titles, marking a defining step forward for the program.
“Our goal now is to do something at state, get some All-State swimmers, and break some school records,” Shaughnessy said.
The Knights are now focused on elevating their performance, targeting state recognition and pushing to surpass long-standing marks.
“Danny keeps the team together… Jack basically qualifies for state in every event he swims,” he said.
Danny continues to bring energy and leadership, while Jack remains one of Central’s most reliable state-level competitors.
