Homewood-Flossmoor built an early lead, scoring two runs in the second, one in the third, and three more in the fourth to take control. The Vikings added insurance runs in the sixth and seventh to extend the advantage. Lincoln-Way Central responded with its biggest surge in the sixth inning, scoring all six of its runs to cut the deficit to 7-6, but was unable to complete the comeback.
Bridget Barz led the offensive effort, going 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored. Jenna Lee, L.
