Lincoln-Way Central’s boys tennis team notched a pivotal conference victory Tuesday, defeating Andrew High School 5–2 to even its season record at 6–6.

The Knights earned key wins in both singles and doubles play. Ayden Maholy claimed a victory at No. 3 singles, while Milan Bhuyia and Michael Queenan won their No. 1 doubles match.

Devin Van Ginder and Jacob Craig delivered one of the day’s most dominant performances at No. 2 doubles, sweeping their opponents 6–0, 6–3.

“They played with intensity and confidence,” head coach Eric Balluff said. “Their aggressive net play really set the tone and energized the team.”

Lincoln-Way Central also picked up doubles wins from Michal Drozd and Chris Dehoog at No. 4, and Jack Wallace and Carter Jabaay, helping seal the 5–2 team victory.

The win marked a strong bounce-back effort for the Knights, who have battled through a challenging early schedule. Balluff praised his team’s resilience and said the players are beginning to find their rhythm as the postseason approaches.

The Knights will look to build on the momentum in their upcoming match against Lincoln-Way East.
