Birmingham provides leadership for Knights

0Comments

Lincoln-Way Central senior guard Aubrey Birmingham delivered a strong season for the Knights, contributing on both ends of the floor throughout the 2025-26 campaign.

Birmingham, a point guard in the Class of 2026, helped guide Lincoln-Way Central during the winter season while competing in the Southwest Suburban Conference and IHSA postseason play.

The senior guard made an impact in multiple areas of the game. Birmingham recorded three steals against Joliet Catholic Academy and added two steals in matchups against Joliet Central, Lincoln-Way East, Homewood-Flossmoor and Lockport, highlighting her defensive activity throughout the season.

Offensively, Birmingham provided perimeter scoring for the Knights. She connected on two three-pointers against Joliet West and Bradley-Bourbonnais and added two more from beyond the arc against Lincoln-Way West. One of her standout shooting performances came against Stagg, where Birmingham knocked down five three-pointers.

In addition to those performances, Birmingham contributed during games against Minooka, Marist, Mother McAuley and Grayslake Central, helping the Knights remain competitive against several strong opponents on the schedule.

Birmingham’s playmaking, perimeter shooting and defensive effort made her a key contributor for Lincoln-Way Central as the Knights worked through a challenging schedule and built experience throughout the season.
